GPRC “StandardRating” announced assignment of first sovereign ratings


On January12th  GPRC “StandardRating” announced assignment of first sovereign ratings to Croatia and Hungary. Long-term credit rating of Croatia in foreign currencies was set on the level of BBB on the Agency’s scale, the rating was assigned on January 06th, 2011. On January 12th, 2011, long-term credit rating of BBB- was assigned to Hungary. As the basis, the agency chose the scale of credit rating used by Dominion Bonds Rating Service, Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd and Rating and Investment Information of Japan, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch


Also, “StandardRating” defined the countries of operaqtions, having split them into 2 zones: “New Europe” and CIS countries as well as BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, Republic of South Africa. For inclusion of New Europe and CIS group the following states were selected: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine.
